In the Author environment, click on the Slideshow tab. Next, click on the "New" button on the top left:

On the next screen, click the "Import powerpoint" button.

You can now choose the PowerPoint file you want to upload. Once uploaded, you can make additional edits to the slides.

Once uploaded, make sure to preview your slideshow!
