How to make test instructions mandatory

Learn how you can ask your students to confirm that they have read the test instructions

Updated over 2 weeks ago

When creating a test, you can make it mandatory for students to read the test instructions and confirm that they have done so. This refers to the first page that students see when they go to start a test. This page shows the following information:

  • Number of attempts

  • Passing grade

  • Duration of the test

  • If the course material is available

  • If the score preview is available before the test is submitted

  • If the score will be released

  • If there is a password

  • When the test is available

The instructions also include any other additional information you added. This is how the students will see this first page of the test:

When you are creating your test, in the tab Name-Information before the test begins, you can add additional information about the test. This information will be shown at the beginning of the test, on the page where the students will see the checkbox.

How can the checkbox be added so the students can confirm they read it?

When creating the test, under Settings-Security-Read instructions confirmation, choose "yes".

Make sure to save your test.
